Principal Dr. Neelam Balekar is serving with the institute from last twenty five years. She had completed her postdoctoral studies from Drug Delivery System Excellence Center, Department of the Pharmaceutical Technology, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai, Thailand in 2012. She had received her Ph.D. in 2007 from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Poona College of Pharmacy, Pune, India. She is an active researcher with more than 100 international research papers, several projects, various grants and more than 95 research presentation to her credit. She is serving as a reviewer for several international journals of repute. She has coordinated several international conferences, seminars and work shops. She is a life member of many professional bodies like The Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, Indian Pharmacological Society. Her current research focus includes Pharmacology, toxicology, alternative and complementary medicines and systems, mechanisms of healing and wellness and correlation of yoga activities with mental, physical and endocrinological level.
